Commonwealth Bank launches Kaching mobile banking app for Android

Thursday 5 July 2012 11:21 CET | News

Australian Commonwealth Bank has made the Kaching mobile banking application available for Android-powered mobile devices, online media outlet computerworld.com.au reports.

According to the source, the Kaching application for Android allows Commonwealth Bank customers to make peer-to-peer payments (P2P) via their mobile devices, e-mail and Facebook. The application also allows users to check account balances, top-up credit and debit cards linked to their accounts, pay bills and locate nearby ATMs.

Unlike the Kaching mobile banking application for iPhone which allows users to pay using contactless technology, the Android version of the app does not allow users to make wireless payments using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
