Citi has announced that it will join Early Warning`s clearXchange network, enabling millions of clients to make real-time person-to-person payments to anyone with a US bank account.

By joining the network, Citis online and mobile banking customers will be able to send or receive real-time P2P payments to or from customers of participating network banks by simply using the recipients mobile number or email address.

Additionally, Early Warnings goal is to expand the clearXchange network to include all financial institutions nationwide.

According to Citi, the functionality will be enabled in early 2017.
