Ecommerce Europe in European Retail Payments Board

Ecommerce Europe gets represented in the European Retail Payments Board (ERPB) in Frankfurt. “It’s important for Ecommerce Europe to join the ERPB, so we can represent the interests of the ecommerce retailers on a European level. We’re very happy that the ERPB focuses on online payments, since ecommerce is booming in Europe. It is important that the e-retailers get their own voice in the ERPB. We will be that voice,” says Paul Alfing, Chair of the e-Payments Working Committee of Ecommerce

The objective of the ERPB is to contribute to and to facilitate the further development of an integrated, innovative and competitive market for EUR retail payments in Europe. Ecommerce Europe’s vision is an open market and successful pan-European e-payment methods are a crucial element in future growth. Ecommerce Europe aims to transform this vision into constructive actions and initiatives towards a more effective and efficient e-payments landscape in Europe, beneficial for both web merchants and consumers. Ecommerce Europe will use this position in the ERPB to show its vision on e-payments and think and act constructively. Ecommerce Europe’s target is to come up with a workable European policy to improve and facilitate cross-border sales.
