Descartes acquires InterCommIT to enhance its Logistics Technology Platform

Global logistics technology provider Descartes has acquired InterCommIT, a Netherlands-based provider of business-to-business (B2B) integration-as-a-service. The purchase price for the acquisition is USD 13.8 million (EUR 10.1 million).

With this acquisition, InterCommIT is expected to expand Descartes network and enhance Descartes’ logistics application footprint in Web EDI, e-invoicing, e-document and e-catalogue offers. Also, a number of European retailers and suppliers are set to join Descartes’ logistics community.

More than 800 InterCommIT customers are expected to add to Descartes Logistics Technology Platform, composed of more than 35,000 trading partners.
