The addition of Verified by Visa strengthens the bank’s efforts in the fight to reduce CNP fraud, by adding another layer of security for online debit and credit card transactions that authenticates the cardholder’s identity at the time of purchase.
The next phase of the project will see VietinBank and Compass Plus, a provider of retail banking and electronic payments software to payment processors and financial institutions, working together to achieve Mastercard SecureCode and JCB J/Secure certifications for the bank to be able to provide a comprehensive portfolio of online security programs for its customers.
