Mastercard Smart Path facilitates access to Mastercard’s network of partners and customers, and is aimed at helping startups to rapidly scale. Only about 40 startups are admitted to the program each year. Veridium says it was part of an applicant pool of almost 2,000. Criteria for selection include demonstrated commercial traction, seed or series-A investment funding, experience and expertise, and alignment with Mastercard’s innovation strategy.
By joining this program, Veridium aims to provide Mastercard and its network of customers with its authentication solutions based on biometrics like their 4 Fingers TouchlessID technology. News of Veridium’s acceptance into Mastercard Smart Path comes shortly after the company’s launch of Veridium InMotion, its new behavioural biometrics authentication solution.
