Friday 22 February 2013 08:00 CET | News

OneID, a provider of digital identity services, has added a new browser extension called OneIDQuickFill, which will enable consumers to make purchases using their digital identities.

Using OneID QuickFill, users can retrieve their encrypted information from their OneID account and fly through the checkout process.

According to Federal Trade Commission estimates, 9 million Americans have their identities stolen each year and in 2012 identity fraud cost Americans USD 27 billion. eMarketer points out that with the number of US online shoppers on a continued climb, reaching USD 175 million by 2016, the time for education and a new way of looking at digital identity has come.
