Dutch digital security company Gemalto has inked a partnership with IBM to offer its Ezio e-banking security platform.

The Ezio e-banking server platform has been updated with the ability to support a wider range of end-user solutions. The platform works with more than 30 authentication devices from 20 different vendors, ranging from physical tokens to mobile applications. It is available worldwide from Gemalto and also through IBM Security Services.

The Ezio e-banking server is compliant with both the proprietary technologies and the industry’s open standards – supporting all two-factor authentication tokens, including OTP, PKI, OATH and software solutions. For banks, the platform’s interoperability across authentication infrastructures presents features within areas such as customer segmentation, multi-channel strategy, form-factors and use-cases.

IBM Security Services offers risk-management solutions to protect against threats through an integrated set of solutions from security consulting and implementation to managed security services for and from the cloud.

In recent news, Gemalto has been selected to supply its Optelio Contactless Stickers to financial institution UniCredit Bank in Russia to enable mobile payments.
