Fujitsu Frontech signs agreement with PulseWallet

Thursday 21 November 2013 08:40 CET | News

Fujitsu Frontech North America, a supplier of biometric security solutions and US-based provider of payment solutions PulseWallet have signed an agreement to use Fujitsu’s PalmSecure biometric technology for biometric payments.

Under the terms of the deal, PulseWallet terminals are set to replace consumer credit and debit cards with palm-scanning technology.

With PulseWallet customers need to review their purchases, swipe their credit card, link card to palm / hand for future cardless payments, scan palm/hand at future checkouts and select desired card for payment. Finally, customers are enabled to review transactions, track expenses, and manage their wallet.

PalmSecure sensors incorporated in PulseWallet use near-infrared light to capture a user’s palm vein pattern without the need for contact with the sensor.
