This development will allow device manufacturers to use the BIO-key algorithm to match fingerprints on their compatible AMD device, with or without a server, or in the network or cloud. The resulting solution is expected to offer security in both the client on the device and the server components of the WEB-key platform.
AMDs customers will benefit by using BIO-keys NIST-tested and scanner independent algorithm, enabling them to choose any fingerprint scanner to pair with it in their platform design.
Online service providers and enterprises will have a standardised WEB-key client on their users devices, made available by device manufacturers or through the ARM TrustZone technology ecosystem. Fingerprint scanner manufacturers benefit by being part of a cloud infrastructure allowing remote and cloud authentication.
BIO-key International develops and delivers identification solutions to commercial and government enterprises, integrators and custom application developers.
