Amazon shoppers are against Jeff Bezos Bitcoin exchange

Friday 8 February 2019 00:06 CET | News

An Investing.com survey of Amazon users has found that just 13% of online shoppers would be comfortable buying cryptocurrencies through the ecommerce company.

At the same time, almost the same percentage of people are willing to buy prescription drugs and medical marijuana from Jeff Bezos’ company, while about 73% of people show interest in purchasing an Amazon-branded computer.

Other statistics demonstrate that almost half of all respondents don’t look anywhere else when shopping for books or electronics. However, less than 10% of the ones surveyed exclusively use Amazon for automotive needs, groceries, or handmade items.

Moreover, paying in AmazonCoin could entail discounts or unlock access to special account features, as well as cut down on credit card fraud. Another benefit is that it could enable international commerce to regions that have banking problems.
