The joint partnership is expected to facilitate the delivery of full payment card and digital banking capabilities.
According to the companies, the program aims to drive the issuing of Mastercard contactless cards and current accounts with EUR IBAN and UK sort code. The partnership is expected to remove the regulatory, legal and technical obstacles in the card-issuing process.
The program runs on the Mastercard network and is provided by the Mastercard FinTech Express programme.
