US-based computer systems and electronic payment services provider Jack Henry & Associates has unveiled that its JHA Payment Processing Solutions (PPS) division has launched an expedited EMV implementation process for US chip card issuance.

Through the expedited process, PPS can reduce financial institutions implementation costs, testing requirements, and overall timeframes. To qualify for the streamlined process, a processor must have successfully completed a prior US chip issuance project with Visa as well as meet other eligibility requirements.

In February 2013, Jack Henry & Associates has entered an agreement with TransCard, a provider of prepaid products to financial institutions, to introduce prepaid cards.
