CaixaBank, ePay partner to offer Spotify, Xbox and Sony PlayStation prepaid cards

MoneyToPay, CaixaBank’s prepaid company in electronic money and prepaid cards, has partnered with global provider of electronic payment and transaction processing services, ePay, to offer Spotify, Xbox and Sony PlayStation cards.

Under the agreement MoneyToPay will diversify its product portfolio to include prepaid cards specialising in digital content and will become the first online distributor of electronic content codes and cards for the these brands.

MoneyToPay is Spain’s first electronic money firm to operate exclusively in the prepaid cards business. Cards are becoming increasingly popular in Spain for online purchases. CaixaBank has 600,000 active wallets and digital cards. These come with no physical support and are based on a prepaid system. The volume of purchases made using these systems stands at EUR 140 million in 2013.

In recent news, epay, a division of global provider of electronic payment and transaction processing services Euronet Worldwide, has partnered with PayPal to offer Digital Gift Codes to PayPal customers.
