Kidlandia, an online virtual website for children, has entered an agreement with US-based technology platform provider Virtual Piggy, to integrate the latter’s e-commerce service for youths.
As part of the deal, Kidlandia users will now be able to purchase virtual goods, games and other items in its store with the Virtual Piggy payment option, which is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Virtual Piggy's online payment service is parent approved and managed. When making purchases through VirtualPiggy, children do not share any personal information making it completely COPPA compliant and TRUSTe certified.
