YellowPepper has also launched mobile payment in Colombia, a country where there are more cellphones than people, according to the World Bank, but the ‘unbanked’ population is estimated at 35 percent.
YellowPepper allows banks, mobile network operators, merchants and consumers to carry out mobile financial transactions. The company currently has operations in nine countries, including Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and Guatemala.
In recent news, YellowPepper has entered a partnership with Swedish mobile payment services provider Accumulate.
