Thus, Sterling Bank customers can manage accounts with a mobile phone or a tablet using the Sterling Bank mobile app, which is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Customers can also access accounts with Mobile Web or enroll in Text Banking and text the bank to receive account balance and recent transactions.
Mobile Web and the mobile app allow customers to access information and carry out personal banking from their phones or tablets, including making mobile deposits, paying bills, checking account balances, viewing transactions, transfering funds and finding branch and ATM locations.
Using their device’s camera, customers who have the mobile app can make deposits by taking a picture of the front and back of an endorsed cheque, entering the cheque amount and selecting the deposit account. Email notifications are set to communicate the status of the deposit.
With Text Banking, customers can keep tabs on their accounts. Text banking features allow customers to check account balances, as well as view approximately 90 days of transaction history.
Moreover, Mobile Web and the mobile app integrate a number of security features. Thus, one user ID is assigned per phone number to protect against potential fraud. Advanced Sign-On Authentication may be required should a customer sign on from an unrecognized device and multifactor authentication works to identify customers when signing on via Mobile Web or the mobile app.
In recent news, Sterling Bank has signed a multi-year agreement with US banking and payments technology company FIS to deploy FIS’ Business eBanking and Mobile Banking product suites.
