SECU debuts mobile pay services for members

Tuesday 29 March 2016 09:14 CET | News

State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) has expanded mobile services available to its debit and credit cardholders.

With an Apple, Samsung or Android device, members can make purchases at any participating merchant. Using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay, a credit or debit card is added to a member’s mobile wallet, replacing the card number with a unique and secure 16-digit token.

In the first several weeks after rollout, SECU officials said they noted nearly 14.000 active tokens for credit union cards and processed more than 54.000 transactions.
