Proxama to develop NFC service for Isis mobile commerce platform

UK-based NFC, smart cards, mobile phones and interactive TV technology company Proxama has entered an agreement with Isis, the US mobile commerce joint venture created by AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, to develop the lsis Mobile Wallet application for near field communication (NFC)-enabled devices using the BlackBerry 10 operating system platform.

Proxama’s technology platform supports consumer engagement, loyalty and contactless payments through NFC. Proxama has worked with brands such as EAT, KFC, EE and Barclaycard on NFC initiatives to support consumer engagement and mobile wallets.

Proxama is a mobile commerce company that specialises in NFC mobile contactless payments and NFC proximity marketing. Proxama’s products and platform, which support NFC handsets and mobile operating systems, allow consumers to receive offers, connect with brands and make payments through their NFC phones.

In recent news, Isis has unveiled that a number of payment terminal manufacturers and software providers are integrating Isis SmartTap capabilities across an array of point-of-sale (POS) offerings, from integrated POS terminals to vending and other unattended services.
