Under the terms of the agreement, Netsize is set to extend its mobile operator billing platform to include Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store. This means that Windows Phone users can purchase apps on their handsets and pay for them through their existing mobile phone bill.
The Netsize payment platform already enables content providers to connect to the billing platforms of 160 mobile network operators in approximately 50 countries worldwide, supporting payments from a handset for purchases of apps, music, images and videos.
In recent news, Netsize has received Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification, extending the capabilities of its payment platform beyond operator billing to allow end user credit card details to be securely stored, thus enhancing credit card payments via mobile phones.
