BNZ teams up with Mint Wireless

Friday 13 September 2013 13:09 CET | News

Australian mobile payment transaction processing software provider Mint Wireless has signed an agreement with financial institution Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), a subsidiary of Australian financial services provider National Australia Bank (NAB).

According to the agreement, Mint is set to supply a white-labelled mobile payments service through which BNZ’s PayClip software is set to be delivered.

PayClip is set to provide enhanced integration of card payments across mobile devices (including iOS, Android and Windows Mobile devices), turning them into credit and debit systems. The technology is based on a card present, online mobile service that enables EMV-based chip and sign transactions.

The platform is set to allow customers to take PCI-compliant, card present mobile payments through smartphones and tablets, with both Mint and BNZ receiving a portion of the monthly transaction fees.

In recent news, Vodafone, Visa and Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), a subsidiary of Australian financial services provider National Australia Bank (NAB), have entered an agreement to launch a pre-commercial prepaid payments trial in New Zealand.
