China likely to put off new regulations for cross-border ecommerce

Thursday 26 May 2016 08:38 CET | News

Chances are that China could postpone the implementation of new regulations on customs clearance for cross-border ecommerce businesses.

The postponement could be seen as a transition period, giving supervisors and enterprises time to adopt it, ecns.cn reports.

Ten pilot cities will postpone the new customs clearance policy while the new tariffs and the positive list of imported goods in cross-border ecommerce will remain valid through 10 May 2017.
